The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup is scheduled to be the eighth ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, scheduled to be played in October and November 2022 in Australia. The tournament was to be held originally in 2020, however, in July that year, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the tournament had been postponed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2020, the ICC confirmed that Australia would host the rearranged tournament in 2022.

16 nations will battle it out for the World tournament. Twelve teams that reached the Super 12 stage in the 2021 edition have automatically qualified for the 2022 tournament. The remaining four places will come from the top two teams from each of the two Global Qualifiers.

Australia beat New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2021 finals by 8 wickets to clinch their maiden title. On 15 November 2021, the ICC confirmed the venues for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The host cities are Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The semi-finals would take place in Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval, with the final taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
